Workbench - Simulation : Introduction
Duration : 2 days|
Cost : $1000|
Interface : Workbench
Prerequisites :
Although it is not our policy to deny students entry into a particular
class, we recommend the following prerequisites in order for you to get the most
out of this learning experience. For your own sake please ensure you have the
appropriate qualifications or equivalent experience.
What you will learn
Summary This class teaches students the basics of using the ANSYS Workbench environment to conduct various types of FEA analyses. It is intended for those who are either entirely new to Workbench or those who have stumbled through an analysis or two on their own but would like a better understanding of how to use the software efficiently. Prior ANSYS or FEA experience is not necessary but we find that students who 'play around' with the software a bit on their own first come better prepared to ask questions and learn. In this course we will take you through the basic FEA analysis procedure starting with a CAD model and finishing with a final report. Along the way you will first learn basic preprocessing and meshing in Workbench, and then put the process together for various analysis types. Hands-on workshops will supplement the lecture topics to give you experience using the software. And although we don't specifically cover the topics due to time constraints, the lecture and workshop material you will recieve contain two appendices with information on the Fatigue Module and the Shape Finder tool.
