Scale-Resolving Simulations in Ansys CFD
While Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) turbulence models are the foundation for most CFD simulations today, it is becoming more and more obvious that some classes of flows are better covered by models that resolve all or a portion of the turbulence spectrum in at least some of the numerical domain.
In the accompanying webinar, these techniques are referred to as Scale-Resolving Simulation (SRS) models. The purpose of this document is to supplement the code-specific theory and user documentation that is already available for Ansys Fluent and Ansys CFX. This information is not duplicated here because it is covered in full in the corresponding webinar.
