Leveraging APDL Command Objects in Ansys Mechanical Workbench and Expanding Functionality
The true power behind the mechanical solver in the Ansys product family is the Ansys Parametric Design Language, or APDL. Anyone interested in doing advanced simulation in Ansys Mechanical or Ansys Mechanical APDL needs to know the APDL language.
One of the most significant aspects in ANSYS Mechanical is the fact that it uses the ANSYS Mechanical APDL solver and APDL scripts. Users can easily and powerfully develop, execute, and post-process models thanks to this modern interface that is constantly becoming better. However, it also gives users access to the underlying solver’s capability via its native language, APDL. You can have both cake and ice cream.
Since we last held a seminar on this subject in May 2020, a lot has changed. With the expansion of ANSYS Mechanical and the addition of numerous features, many of the features and functions for which APDL scripts were required are now unnecessary. Users frequently push the limits of their gadgets, according to our tech support staff.
