This webinar provides an overview of how Ansys’ many software tools are currently used throughout the biomedical field, focusing in on two specific capability areas: electromagnetics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
ABOUT THIS WEBINAR:
Recent advancements in biomedical technologies have made traditional methods of designing and developing new products challenging and costly. Simulation is becoming increasingly relevant in the biomedical field, particularly when pursuing innovative new applications, creating multiphysics products, and reducing the timeline and cost associated with developing biomedical devices.
In this webinar we will provide an overview of how Ansys’ many software tools are currently used throughout the biomedical field, focusing in on two specific capability areas: electromagnetics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- For the CFD portion, we will explore the use of Ansys Fluent and Ansys CFX, two popular Ansys CFD tools, for simulating medical devices, such as blood pumps and artificial kidneys, along with patient-specific models of the human airway and flow through glomerulus capillaries within the kidney.
- For the electromagnetic portion, we will show the Ansys human body model with different organs and material properties. We will also discuss how the human body model can be used for simulating electromagnetic applications in the low-frequency (Ansys Maxwell) and high-frequency (Ansys HFSS) ranges.
