Ansys Maxwell Advanced Electric Machines Training Overview
This Advanced Motor Training course will help users understand how to use Ansys Maxwell to simulate rotating electric machines along with the recommended processes for achieving optimal simulation outcomes. Our paid course teaches the best ways to make simulations work well. It mainly looks at two types of machines, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM) and Induction Machines (IM), to make learning easier. The methods and steps shown for these machines can also be used for other kinds of machines.
Prerequisites
- EMAG101 (Maxwell Basic Training) or any equivalent experience
Who should take this course
- Electric machine experts, designers, and anyone interested in learning about electric machine design.
When you complete the course you will:
- Receive an official certificate of completion with professional development hours that can qualify for the continuing education requirements upon renewal of a PE license in most states.
- Be able to:
-
- Calculate machine cogging torque with high efficiency and precision.
- Make the most of mesh operations to improve machine meshing.
- Evaluate losses for proper machine power balance.
- Create a Reduced Order Model (ROM) of your machine’s Equivalent Circuit and apply it in Simplorer/Twin Builder.
- Arrange an optiSLang project by importing your Maxwell machine model to explore sensitivity and optimization.
- Utilize the Machine Toolkit ACT to generate efficiency maps for machines.
- Investigate potential demagnetization of the machine’s Permanent Magnets.
