Ansys Motor-CAD Introductory Training Overview
This paid course offers a fundamental understanding of electric motor design using Ansys Motor-CAD. Through concise training materials, participants are led through the modeling and design process of three motor types: BPM machines, inverter-fed IM, and direct online IM. Additional content covers switched reluctance machines, synchronous reluctance machines, synchronous wound field generators, and single-phase induction machines.
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge of electric machines
Who should take this course
- Anyone interested in learning about electric machine design.
When you complete the course you will:
- Receive an official certificate of completion with professional development hours that can qualify for the continuing education requirements upon renewal of a PE license in most states.
- Be able to:
-
- Utilize Motor-CAD to compute the electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical properties of eMachine designs.
- Use Motor-CAD to compute efficiency maps, torque/speed features, and assess drive cycle efficiency.
- Proficiently operate Motor-CAD, enabling you to explore your own designs and variations.
